Free Weekly Bonsai Classes begin on Tuesday March 19th
What a wonderful opportunity this is for both novice and experienced members. These free classes are conducted by Keith Scott (and arranged by Anna Clark!) every Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Swissvale Library which is located at Monongahela & McClure Avenues. Bring a tree you need some help with or simply watch, listen and learn. And please bring your own tools; we will provide the soil and wire.
Welcome New Members!
David Lane, Perry Welling, Lois Prestia, John Conway, Robert Hawkins, Mary Lou Lenart.
Suggestion Box
This is a good time to clean, sharpen and oil your tools. Also wire screens into your unused pots.
Check your supplies...don't wait until the last minute...do you need soil, wire, pots, more tools?
Remove wires from last year that may be cutting into the wood.
Clean up your display tables and benches.
Begin taking trees out of winter storage as the weather improves...but don't subject them to bright sunshine after being protected; and be prepared to take them back if the weather should suddenly turn foul.
Our Bonsai friends in Buffalo suggest putting trees in carts that can easily be moved during this time of changing weather.
Meeting Dates and Programs for 2002
